That's certainly a reasonable assumption, but the capacity of the trailer dolly won't actually be a factor in how easily it moves your trailer.
What matters is the dolly itself and how it's configured. For example, I recommend the Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20, which has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity with 24" wheel spacing for easy maneuverability.

The question of how hard would it be to move your trailer really has a lot to depend on the size of your trailer and the size of the person moving the trailer. You would have to use a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter such as the Ranch hitch # AM3100. All of these adapters couple to a 2-5/16 inch ball but for use with a dolly and not actually towing the trailer it is possible that a 2 inch ball could be used. I believe I have just what you are looking for, or at least close. Take a look at the spare tire carrier and dolly bracket # DL22144. You can mount an 8 to 12 inch tire on it with 4 or 5 bolt mounting pattern and it can be used as a dolly. But it doesn't pivot like a caster.

This dolly has a drive system so you don't have to physically strain yourself to move the trailer. The trailer is a bit too large for a manual dolly so you will really need the drive system.
